Talks: Social Media Campaign

Marketing Corner Talks is a project run by Professor David Keighron at Douglas College, which produces podcasts featuring marketing professors and experts in the field. These podcasts are meant to educate marketing students and guide their careers. For a Digital Analytics project, our team had the opportunity to analyse and understand the brand’s environment and create a marketing campaign that could improve its performance.

Goals

  • Create brand awareness and reach out to more students.
  • Improve social media engagement.
  • Create and establish brand identity.

Key Tactics to achieve the goals:

Content creation

Creating the content that would appeal the target audience, be engaging, and attract them towards the brand.

Social media campaign

Creation of a marketing campaign calendar, and uploading content as per the plan.

CRM

Constant communication with the customers at key touchpoint areas, and

Evaluation

Based on the customer feedback, the content strategies will be updated and uploaded to get better results.

CONCLUSION

Following the marketing strategy formulated after thorough research, Marketing Corner Talks did gain followers, and the engagement rates increased up to 10%. An email marketing campaign was conducted, and it did successfully grab the attention of marketing students and increased the traffic of the website.
This project was a success, and if these tactics are used for a longer period, the brand, which is still small brand, can grow exponentially.
